The Bacchanalian Society of Denver was founded by David Ball and Mark Starosciak, based upon the wildly successful Bacchanalian Society of Greater Cincinnati. The Bacchanalian Society is Denver’s premier non-profit wine organization, engaging young professionals in philanthropy while they learn about and enjoy wine in a comfortable environment. Ours is a wine tasting event with a competitive twist! Read the Rules.
For each Gathering, the Society selects a varietal, or type of wine, that will be featured at the event. A sommelier, or wine expert, will demystify the wine tasting process and teach us all a little bit about the featured varietal. In addition, the Society identifies a non-profit beneficiary for each event. The non- profit beneficiary will bring representatives to the Gathering, speak to the group about its mission and receive 100% of the net proceeds collected. We welcome all wine enthusiasts, novices and skeptics over the age of 21 to sign up for our electronic mailing list and join the fun.
If you are a Denver-area 501(c)(3) interested in partnering with the Bacchanalian Society for a fundraising event, please complete the application on the Beneficiary page and email it to mark@denverbacchus.com.
Many thanks to Kevin, Todd, and Ashley, who founded The Bacchanalian Society in Cincinnati. Their input and support is priceless and we look forward to working with them in the years to come.
